Our Time Together
 Not everyone enjoys a pet but here's to those that do.
The joys that they can bring each day outweigh their chores for you.
You feed them, you train them; they do thing when you command.
A gentle touch now and then is a reward they understand.
They have their way of doing things in spite of how they feel.
But every time you comfort them a winning card you deal.
How much you enjoyed your kitten when that ball of yarn she'd roll.
Or your puppy greeting every tree when you'd take him for a stroll.
But no one lives forever and when our days are through,
Thank God for that time together with our pets, our pals so true.
